How Do I Know If My Pet Is Sick?

The following are signs of illness.  Post in a convenient place to help in times of uncertainty or emergency:

Loss of appetite/vomiting

Diarrhea or straining to eliminate

Difficult or labored breathing

Excessive drooling

Difficulty in swallowing

Difficulty moving or unusual movements

Lethargy or unusual restlessness

Rapid swellings, especially of the head or abdomen

Elevated temperature or sudden drop in temperature/shivering

Rapid or extremely slow pulse

Coughing, wheezing or sneezing
