Greens Fork Animal Hospital is pleased to announce the acquisition of the Auriflush ear cleaning system. The Auriflush system was originally designed for human use and has now been adapted for use with dogs and cats. The Auriflush system provides immediate ear cleaning and can be done in about 20 minutes in our office. (Usually anesthesia is NOT needed.) Hydrovac action simultaneously cleans the external ear canal while suctioning excess water and discharge away from the pet, reducing messy outflow. This treatment leaves the ear canal dry thus making treatment drugs more effective.
This ear flushing method works well for pets with chronic ear problems. Ears may be flushed every couple of weeks, thus preventing the chronic ear infections.
